Winter Garden and Plaza

The Winter Garden – with its 10,000 square foot plaza – is the heart of Brookfield Place. Built in 1988 by world renowned architect Cesar Pelli, it is a beloved space among New Yorkers and tourists alike. Everything about this iconic venue is breathtaking, from its soaring 120-foot glass ceiling to its sixteen 45-foot palm trees, semicircular cascading marble staircase and its majestic bay window looking out to the Hudson River, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.
