Construction will begin on the southwest corridors of the ground and mezzanine levels of the World Financial Center on Monday, November 7. As a result, the following retail stores and dining establishments will close by October 31: SouthWest NY, Boomerang Toys, Urban Athletics, Add Accessories, Grill Room and Columbus Bakery. The Gap and Ciao Bella have already closed. Hallmark and Cobbler Express are relocating within the WFC. These corridors will remain closed for the duration of the construction period; tower lobbies and other areas of the WFC will remain accessible.
The changes are part of Brookfield’s large-scale renovation plans to revitalize the WFC’s retail offerings, including high-end fashion, a European-style marketplace and expanded waterfront dining. Please visit the WFC 2013 Vision tab of this website for additional information.
